How a Pull Up Bar Will Help You
The pull up bar allows you to do a full upper-body workout without leaving the room. I have a doorway mounted pull up bar, which works perfectly. I can do a complete bicep workout in just a few minutes. The pullup bar being so near to me allows me to actually do the excercises without fail -- meaning I actually work out and the equipment isn't a waste of money.
A pull up bar will help you primarily by building bicep, shoulder and back muscles. If this is what you want, then what you want is a pull up bar. You can buy one pretty much anywhere... actually, let's talk about that.
How to Buy a Pull Up Bar
Buying a pull up bar isn't rocket science, and you can find a cheap one pretty much anywhere. You shouldn't spend more than 30-100 bucks, depending on the type of bar you get. You can find pull up bars in stores, on eBay and Amazon.
You can also get a homemade pull up bar and just build it yourself. I'm not a fan of this because they're so cheap you don't even really need to, but if you're more of a complete "do-it-yourself" person, then that might be the best route for you.
The Pull Up Bar Workout
The pull up bar workout depends entirely on you. If you want to build your biceps, focus on chin ups. If you want to build shoulder and back muscles, focus on traditional pull ups. For a more well-rounded workout, do an even number of both.
I do more chin ups than pull ups because I want to work more on my arms than my back given my body build, but that might not be for everyone. Just experiment and think about what strength you want and carve your workout to fit that purpose.
Types of Pull Up Bars
There are really a ton of different types of pull up bars. You have homemade pull up bars, portable pull up bars, door mounted pull up bars, wall mounted pull up bars -- well, you get the point. I'll write a page later detailing every kind of pull up bar that you can get and you can check that article out later.
Don't forget to browse around other types of the chin up bars -- you might not think you'd be interested, but they can come in extremely handy. Getting a portable pull up bar along with another kind of bar means you can keep your workout routine even when you are traveling, meaning you'll never have to skip a beat, which can be a huge temptation.
How to Lose Weight Quickly
If you want to lose weight quickly, a pull up bar can certainly aid you in accomplishing your goals. I'll be explaining more about how you can get free information for helping you diet, so make sure to check back later.
