I started this website to help you and other people like yourself learn more about pull up bars. I build websites for fun and for a living, so it was no surprise to friends and family when I rolled this website out -- I have a rather odd obsession with my pull up bar.
It's probably because, as a web publisher, I spent a ton of time at the computer. To be honest, I don't have much time for anything like full-fledged workouts. My main emphasis -- what I wanted to focus my excercise on -- was upper body and arms. That's basically it. Pound for pound, that's the most important are of a guy's body to focus on, in general.
Then I finally found out that I could buy a pull up bar and set it up in my doorway.
That was a great day for obvious reasons. Basically, I can now do my full upper body workout in about 2 minutes every day, which is really all it takes. My workout emphasizes chinups rather than pullups, but I still use a "pull up" bar.

You can go to amazon and buy a pull-up bar with one click... don't be afraid to spend 20-30 bucks to get the bar, it will be worth it in the end.
